Third Annual Conference of the Climate Security Association of Canada

May 5-6, 2025

Climate Change and the Futures of War and Peace, Montreal, Qc, Canada

Our  annual conference was held in Montreal from May 5 to 7, 2025. ‘Climate Change and the Futures of War and Peace’ explored how climate change raised questions about how national and collective security problems could, and should be, imagined and managed. The conference discussed the production of climate security futures under the conditions of climate change by emphasizing the roles of technology, security practices and politics, and sociotechnical imaginaries in the conceptualization of management tools and practices that were meant to respond to the security consequences of climate change.
